Public Fairness AssessmentTM
Initiated by: C.W.

I have blood in my stool and urine and they refuse to book my appointment after repeated calls!!

(C. W. vs. Temple University Hospital)
Public verdict: 1) CEO of Temple University Hospital should apologize to claimant for their staff's insensitivity, lack of training, and disregard for a patient's urgent medical needs and extreme anxiety 2) Temple University Hospital should ensure that all personnel are trained in correct protocol for clarifying referrals that they don't understand, i.e. by calling the referring physician for clarification. This is pretty basic! 3) Temple University Hospital should pay claimant nominal amount of ~$2500 by way of recompense for humiliating him, failing to safeguard his privacy, and failing to provide him with prompt medical assistance.

"I think what needs to be done is to take action that would avert future occurrence of such act from medical.practitioners, The patient should file a complaint directly to the management of the medical centre and also the commission in charge of health (ministry of health). The ministry will investigate and find a lasting solution. This will not only help the patient in question but other also patients experiencing same issue. Thanks."
