We’re a community of legal professionals created to help render consensus views on important social, legal, and business issues.

You are invited to vote on, or discuss, any of the topics listed on the Rhubarb site

There is no cost to join our group. However, membership is by invitation only and restricted to legal professionals.

Voting is anonymous and does not constitute legal advice or any client relationship with the parties posting issues to be discussed.

TERMS OF USE FOR ADVOCATES

I agree to fulfill the role of advocate for in good faith, using my best efforts to create jury consensus for a solution favorable to . This will include, but not be limited to, submitting an Opening Statement, adding comments or offering new solutions I feel will advance my side’s interests, responding appropriately to proposed solutions and comments by the other side, and upvoting solutions and comments I feel are helpful to my side’s case.

I understand and agree that my role as advocate in this case may be revoked at any time by the party I’m advocating for, or by Rhubarb, if they are dissatisfied with my efforts, and that content I have posted may be removed and crypto rewards withheld or withdrawn. Reasons for this include, but are not limited to:

Failure to share to an approved and valid social media account that has been in active use by you for 12 months or longer
Failure to represent the interests of the party who engaged you or the issue you’re advocating for
Unconstructive, trivial, or abusive posting that doesn’t reasonably benefit the parties involved, the community, or the posted topic
Posting of false or misleading information, including reference to laws, statements of fact, statistics, or other evidence
Any form of voting manipulation apart from good-faith efforts to convince the jury to support and vote for the side you represent
Any violation of relevant law or Rhubarb’s general terms of use, or any other act of bad faith

If a post of yours is removed, you’ll have the right to appeal the action by posting a Public Fairness Assessment at Rhubarb within 30 days of the removal of your post, for vote by the general community.

What is Rhubarb?

Rhubarb aims to change the economics of law by removing the high cost of reaching decisions. (High cost = lawyers, courts, and long spans of time to reach settlement.) By developing distributed decision-making mechanisms such as Poll Verdicts, Rhubarb is helping remove the biggest obstacle to getting civil justice: cost.

What is a Poll Verdict?

A Poll Verdict engages the public, including industry experts and ordinary citizens, to help decide the merits of two or more proposed solutions to a problem through voting and reaching a consensus. It can be used in common disputes between businesses and customers, or in larger matters of public interest or controversy. But it’s free to the initiator and counterparty because the process takes place online and costs are relatively low—and the voters themselves cover the expense.

What is a RHU?

The RHU is our native crypto-currency. We use RHU, and in some cases Bitcoin, to add fun to our network and reward our members for voting to create consensus on important topics. You can opt out of receiving RHU or BTC in any cases where they’re offered. The RHU is a utility token, not currently traded on any exchange, and has no quoted value. We currently issue points in lieu of crypto as the regulations regarding crypto issues are still ambiguous. Once those issues are clarified by regulators, we intend to allow our network members to convert their points to RHU or other crypto-tokens they have earned, and to pursue a RHU listing on an established crypto exchange. Stay tuned—and have fun.

Where do RHUCoins come in? — how does it work?

Voters pay a small fee in RHUCoin to participate. The voting option with the largest number of voters becomes the “consensus,” and consensus voters receive the RHUCoin fees of the non-consensus voters as a reward. Voters are motivated to win, to pick the best solution to the case, because the return on cost of participation can be substantial. It’s a great way to accumulate RHUCoin and help resolve real disputes in the process.

What if I don’t fit in one of the voting categories?

Voting categories depend on the kind of case or question under consideration and the preferences of the poll initiator(s). If you don’t see a voting category that fits you when signing up for a poll, it means there will probably be another poll that is looking for someone with your background.

If I vote in this poll, where can I see the results?

Results are published on the Rhubarb site. If you’re in consensus you’ll get a special notification (and a RHUCoin award); if you’re not, you’ll be able to see how the voting was distributed among the various options.

Are there other Rhubarb polls I can participate in?

Poll verdicts are new, but we anticipate rapid adoption by users in polls involving a wide variety of industries and disputes. Soon there should be plenty of polls to choose from.

Can I buy RHUCoin or can I only get it through voting?

Rhubarb expects to have an initial coin offering (ICO) soon, target date to be announced. You can sign up for the white list on this site and reserve an allocation. We expect RHUCoin also to be listed and traded on leading cryptocurrency exchanges after the ICO. Before the ICO, you can also sign up for an airdrop, where you’ll be offered RHUCoin for performing small tasks like sharing the news on social media and voting in one of the initial polls.
